Wonderful place, great food, impeccable service! We hired the function room for my daughter's birthday party and were so pleased with our choice! The team looked after us and made sure everyone was happy. We have returned a couple of times since and have always been happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Definitely one of our favourite pubs!

Came here for a meeting, the room was already set up and everything we needed was in there. Someone took our coffee order and all the hot drinks were really good and made to order. Lunch was really good too.

I don't really know where to start but with a massive Thank You. We held our Wedding Reception in the Canonbury Tavern. We always knew the Canonbury was ideal for us and from the beginning everything went smoothly - considering I was a bit of a panicky Bride. On the day itself everything went like clockwork and both John and myself could relax, enjoy the day and the everyone raved about the food. A big Thank You to Sandra and Justine for all the hard work and most off all for all the Staff Members having a smile on their face. When we reviewed the day - we both said we wouldn't change one thing. A perfect event. Beware - we will be back.

With only a few weeks notice, I organised a small wedding lunch in the blue room. I could tell the team has a lot of experience in organising weddings and other private events, which made me feel more relaxed to know it was all in safe hands! The day before I dropped off a few things and how Sandra (and I forgot the other girls name but she was also excellent) consequently transferred the Spencer Room into a stylish and elegant place was amazing. In the room they also allow people to plug in their phones for music which was great! And the small lunch actually spontaneously became a small party:) I had a perfect day and so much more than expected so thank you!

We held our wedding reception at the Canonbury Tavern and couldn’t have chosen a better venue. From start to finish the team were very friendly, helpful and obviously knew their stuff. On the day although we provided the decorations, the team made the restaurant look magical, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Thank you to Sandra, Martin and the team but particular thanks to Justine who looked after us as if we were her own family. She was very professional, extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you again for making our special day so relaxed and enjoyable.

We held our wedding breakfast here in Dec 2019 and cannot express how happy we were with everything. Sandra and her team were so professional, warm and organised. They completely relaxed us throughout the whole process and were so accommodating to what we wanted. They help you decorate the space and helped us so much. The food was also super - and they sorted mulled wine and everything! We are so thankful we came to the Canonbury, it meant for a lot less stress. We had so many compliments for our choice of venue and I can’t recommend it enough.
